Glass House Adventurer - Pedal & Paddle

Our motto is Live, Laugh, Ride ... and for this adventure we've added "and paddle!" It's all about getting out there into nature, off the beaten track and having a good time. This guided bike and canoe tour explores the Glass House area.

Come and join VéloRoo for a day of adventure. The diversity of the Glasshouse Mountains area is so much more than it’s signature iconic Volcanic features.

Our unique Glasshouse adventure scenic bike, canoe and self drive tour takes you from bush trails and secret river bends to hidden Glasshouse Mountain lookouts. Some of the most stunning vista’s of the Glasshouse Mountains and southern Sunshine Coast has to offer is waiting for your discovery.

Immerse yourself in the peaceful environment as you pedal and paddle with your guide over different terrains,. Along the way, you will learn about the local history, regional produce, flora and fauna and hopefully spot wallabies, kangaroos, banded finches, the vulnerable black glossy cockatoos and other wildlife hanging about.

• Bike – Ride through the exotic pine forest trails with only the sounds of nature to fill the air
• Canoe – Serenely gliding along tranquil waterways under the canopy of native forest
• Walk – we take in the views of the Glasshouse Mountains from a lookout

To finish your day of adventure, your exclusive road map will guide you to the best viewing spots that the locals love. You’ll be back at your accomodation in time for sunset apero’s invigorated and full of stories to celebrate your day of adventure!

• BUT wait – we then have a Glasshouse Mountains Travel Pack with everything you need for a post tour self drive itinerary taking you to some great local highlights to spend the afternoon exploring the Glasshouse mountains by car (and some walks if you’re keen)

• Transfers from your accommodation to the start point (and return) We can arrange a quote on request.

Timing & Meeting Point

• meeting point at 4288 Bruce Hwy, Coochin Creek, at the back of the McDonalds car park area, this is next to the Coles Express Service Station. (approx 25 - 30 min from Caloundra or Mooloolaba)
• Arrive by 7:30am to allow us time to get you set up and comfortable on your bike
• We will aim to return to this location by approx 12:30pm.

What to Bring / Wear

• Comfortable clothing for the ride and canoe trip – bring a towel just in case
• Closed in shoes
• Sunscreen / hat
• Phone / Camera
• Backpack for extras -this can be transported in the support vehicle. No need to lug it around

Additional Information

• Ages from 12yrs +
• Experience / Fitness – this is an active experience. You should have basic bike skills and be comfortable riding on loose and uneven surfaces. This experience does not use any trails that require technical mountain bike skills. If you have any questions or concerns please contact and we will happily chat to you about it.
• Wet weather – If weather creates a safety concern, either before or during the experience, we may be required to cancel the tour. We will work with you to arrange another suitable day so that you don’t miss out. If this isn’t possible you will be refunded.
